It's going to cost you more to have that Thanksgiving Day Feast this year.
That's according to the Missouri Farm Bureau, which has price-checked various food items and compared them to last year. It says assuming there's enough Thanksgiving Day food for 10 people, the total cost for the meal is $47.41. That's $4.89 more than last year. Among the items with the greatest price increases are a gallon of whole milk, up $0.71 a pound of butter has risen $0.96, and a 30 ounce can of pumpkin pie mix rose $0.65. The Missouri Farm Bureau says the good news is prices in the Show-Me-State still were $1.79 less than the national average for a Thanksgiving feast.
