Science Grant

An elementary class in Maryville receives a grant to help student explore nature.

Heidi Beatty and her 3rd grade students at Horace Mann are receiving the discover nature grant from the Missouri Department of Conservation. They will use it for a thousand dollars of nature-related classroom items like battery powered microscopes and binoculars. They also receive $7 for each student to go toward field trip expenses. Beatty says the money should help students get excited about learning.
