A compromise helps postal services in rural areas.

Missouri senator Claire McCaskill supported postal reforms with the approval of a bipartisan agreement that gives postal services an alternative to shutting down.

A proposal McCaskill is working on will turn rural post offices into a village post office, where the office will not be a stand alone building but incorporated into another. Details on the compromise will be released later this week on McCaskill. Senate.Gov.
