A bridge in Atchison county will be closing periodically this weekend.
Even though lanes are back open from the flooding, the Brownville Bridge on US Highway 136 between Rockport and Brownville will be closed for many hours while crews paint the overhead truss. The closure is scheduled for Friday November 4th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday November 5th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday November 6th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the same time the railroad crossing at Phelps City will be closed for safety improvements. The Brownville Bridge closure this weekend is depending on weather, if it's postponed, the painting and closures will be re-scheduled for next weekend.
