GPS Producers

Orbiting satellites are now helping northwest Missouri AG producers.

A GPS system operating off the KXCV tower in Maryville is allowing farmers pin-point accuracy when it comes to planting and field applications. Nathan Peterson and field applications. Nathan Peterson is with Northwest Implement, who is training producers on the GPS based planting and harvesting techniques.

Peterson says the units can even drive farm machinery through the fields to help with application of nutrients and can identify amounts used as a record for future season's operations.
