A Missouri energy company is seeking to adjust surcharges on its 500,000 natural gas customers.
Missouri Gas Energy submitted the application to the Missouri Public Service Commission in regards to an infrastructure system replacement surcharge that began appearing on customer bills in April of 2004. The current ISRS for residential customers is $0.49 per month, but MGE proposes to increase that to $0.71 per month. The natural gas company argues the increase reflects investments it made from February 2011 through September. Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than December 8th with the secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission in Jefferson City.
