North Missouri customers of Empire Gas Company will be seeing their rate go up, but only slightly.
State regulators have approved the upward adjustment for Empire customers. In the company's north system, which includes the cities of Chillicothe, Marceline, and Trenton, the average residential customers monthly bill will raise by about 3 cents per hundred cubic feet of natural gas ordered. In the northwest system of Maryville, Rockport, and Tarkio bills will rise about 4 cents per hundred cubic feet. Those increases are taking effect immediately.
