The Savannah R-3 School District gets a technology makeover.
The school was awarded a state title two grant for math and communication arts instruction. The grant provides $85,000 for the school to purchase laptop computers and develop lesson plans for the new common core math and communication art standards, which was adopted last year by the state board of education. Savannah superintendent, Dr. David Brax, says the focus is on two grade levels for the use of the new laptops.
