Two area leaders impacted by this summer's Missouri River Flooding are expected to testify in Washington tomorrow.
The house subcommittee on water resources and the environment is holding the hearing to review the response and management of the flood. Testifying will be Holt County Clerk Kathy Kunkel and Atchison County farmer Richard Oswald. Also there will be Tarkio congressman Sam Graves, who is a member of the transportation and infrastructure committee in the US House. The Army Corps of Engineers is in the process of writing their operations plan for the Missouri River for next year. Tomorrow's subcommittee hearing will also include testimony from the northwester commander of the Corps.
