Everything Tax

The Albany School Board met last night to issue a resolution on a possible state-wide tax.

If placed on the state ballot, the everything tax proposal would eliminate income tax and raise sale taxes which could have a negative impact on schools. Albany superintendent Bryan Prewitt said the tax will affect everyone in everything they do.

The Albany School Board approved the resolution set by the Missouri School Boards Association to oppose getting the plan on a future ballot.
