A Missouri senator is successful in adding another 400 million dollars in federal aid to help flood-ravaged northwest Missouri communities.
Senator Roy Blunt's amendment adds the money to next year's version of the community development block grant program, part of a larger bill passed today by the senate. The funding can also be shared with Joplin in tornado recovery there. Blunt's amendment and senate bill still has to be reconciled with the house version.
