Two women are injured after a two vehicle accident just west of Stewartsville yesterday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 30 year old Brandon Defreece failed to yield to oncoming US Highway 36 traffic while driving north on Sharp Road. A Nissan Altima headed West on 36 struck the rear passenger side of Defreece's Dodge Ram. The Missouri Highway Patrol says the driver of the Altima, 61 year old Joan Holman suffered minor injuries while her passenger, 82 year old Veta Holman, suffered serious injuries. Both women are from Hamilton, Missouri and were taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center. The Highway Patrol says Defreece was uninjured in the accident.
