Charges Filed in Triple Fatality

Charges are filed against a Hopkins driver in that triple-fatality near the town involving 7 people in a truck.

Investigators say alcohol was a factor. 22 year old Scott Woods was driving in the accident that killed Joshua Bix and Benjamin McIntyre of Hopkins, as well as Chrystal Olerich of Lake View Iowa. Three others were injured and two had to be flown to the hospital for treatment. Investigators say no one was wearing a seatbelt. Now, Woods faces 2 felonies of involuntary manslaughter and three felonies of operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in injury. His court date is set for later this month.
