Two men are dead after a two vehicle crash in Caldwell county this morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 66 year old Hubert Swope of Braymer, Missouri was driving east o Missouri Highway 116 about 3 miles outside of Braymer when he crossed the center line. Swope's vehicle then collided head-on with a Ford van driving in the westbound lane. The van was being driven by 46 year old Kenneth Debolt also of Braymer. The Highway Patrol says Debolt used his brakes in an attempt to avoid the collision. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene by Caldwell county Sheriff. Reports show Neither of the men were wearing seatbelts.
