A student at the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing in Maryville has received top honors on a national test.
A second year student at the Academy located on the campus of Northwest Missouri State, Gretchen Ferguson, earned a composite score of 36 on the ACT test. Only one tenth of a percent of high school student's will receive a 36 on the test. The ACT grades on a scale of 1 to 36 and covers English, mathematics, reading and science.
