Flood Tillage

The regional agronomist out of Holt county says producers hit by Missouri River flooding should be careful about tilling the next few weeks.

Wayne Flanary says if water covered crop land only a short time, there will be fewer problems, but warns silt from the river is another matter.

Flanary says tilling wet soil can damage it, so it's best to let it dry out before working it.
