Explosion Names

All bodies have now been recovered from the deadly Atchison Grain elevator explosion.

City manager Trey Cocking confirmed about 11:15 this morning the last three of the 6 people killed were found this morning and removed from the explosion site. Officials are also releasing the names of the first three recovered. They are 20 year old John Burke. Identities of the 3 recovered this morning are being withheld until later today. A dozen people were at the site when the explosion happened about 7:15 Saturday night. 4 people escaped without injury, 6 workers were killed, 2 were flown to KU Med with severe burns. THe blast was felt miles away and the fireball was seen across the river in St. Joseph. Atchison City manager Trey Cocking says the search had to be suspended yesterday while crews wait for more specialized equipment. He says now OSHA inspectors are determining the safety.

A senior vice president for Bartlett Grain Company says it's still too early to know a cause of the explosion. About a hundred emergency responders worked the site following Saturday night's explosion.
