The Nodaway County Historical Society will host a blast from the past luncheon.
on Saturday the Historical Society will serve food that is historically common to the area including harvest bean soup, homemade corn bread and sugar cookies from a recipe over 100 years old. Take-out meals are also available. Outside activities include a mule team and wagon for visitors to ride, vintage cars and a special display of farm tools and equipment if the weather is permitting. Inside displays at the Historical Society Museum include kitchen and household accessories, hand-made wooden toys, non-fiction books, gift items and community memorabilia. The luncheon will be held Saturday starting at 11 to 1:30 at the Nodaway County Historical Museum in Maryville, which has several new exhibits. Tickets are available at the door.
