Starting today, KXCV and KRNW starts a series of reports we are calling "Hunger in the Heartland: The Silent Crisis".

Many of the efforts to combat hunger are being waged by local food pantries, who get assistance from second harvest community food bank in St. Joseph. Second Harvest director David Davenport says if you don't think hunger impacts your neighbors, think again.
