Dry Conditions

There's rain in the forecast for our region but that may not be enough help.

Dry and windy conditions have caused several communities to levy burn bans until the weather improves. Senior forecaster Mike July with the National Weather Service near Kansas City says the conditions are caused by the lack of rainfall for the month of September.

July also says windy conditions in the region have lead to an increased fire risk. The National Weather Service out of Pleasant Hill has forecasted rain for this evening and into tomorrow morning.
