Missouri Facebook Bill

It looks like our school districts will have to decide for themselves if school staff can befriend students on Facebook.

A law passed earlier in the Missouri Statehouse created controversy, so now a House Education Committee unanimously approves changes to the so-called Facebook Bill. It restricted student and staff communication using social network sites. Missouri Education group's worked with the bill's sponsor to clarify its intent. Columbia representative Chris Kelly presented the amended bill and says now each school district must regulate social media making it an issue of local control.
