Milder Weather

In what could be the last gasp of summertime temperatures, forecasters say this week will be feeling much more seasonal.

National Weather Service meteorologist Mark Britt says the large area of high pressure that's been sitting over the southern US will occasionally expand, giving us temperatures like we experienced late last week. But Britt says as we arrive closer to autumn, temperatures this week and moving forward are expected to feel more like September.

Britt adds long-range models actually show below-normal temperatures for most of this month although a few hot days are still possible.
