Maryville Public Safety efforts during family weekend resulted in 19 charges of minor in possession.

Director of Maryville Public Safety, Keith Wood, says public safety increases its enforcement effort in the fall season, so that a message is sent and offenses do not get out of control.

Wood adds Maryville Public Safety receives grants to perform a variety of different efforts, such as bar patrol and party patrol. A "Contempt of Court" and "Resisting Arrest" also occurred this weekend.
