Flood Repairs

Road repairs are continuing in northwest Missouri as the Missouri River Flood waters recede.

Herzog contracting is working on about 3 miles of Highway 59 in Buchanan county running from the Missouri River bridge to Highway 45. The contractor is expected to complete initial repairs tomorrow with MoDOT opening up Highway 59 as soon as all the water is off the pavement. After that happens additional repairs will be done on 59 with a target date of October 15th for the highway to be back to normal. St. Joseph MoDOT spokeswoman Melissa Black says a similar process will continue through the next few months throughout northwest Missouri.
