Blunt on Flood Funding

Missouri senator Roy Blunt's amendment to add another 400 million dollars to help the Corps rebuild levees is moving forward in the senate.

Blunt estimates it will take about 6 billion dollars between now and the end of the year to shore up the levee system. But he says he still disagrees with the Army Corps plan moving forward not to make more space in the coming months in upstream reservoirs saying that could lead to the same flooding here next year.
