Atchison DWI Checkpoint

Missouri State Highway Patrol officers looking for impaired drivers came up empty handed recently.

Patrol spokesman, sergeant Sheldon Lyon says troopers conducted a 4-hour sobriety checkpoint in Atchison county last Saturday. He says troopers issued one summons for speeding, one summons for a seat belt violation, and 7 warnings for minor violations, but no arrests for driving while intoxicated.

Sergeant Lyon says a total of 92 vehicles came into the checkpoint in Atchison county Saturday night.
