New Students

This is the first full week of classes at the university in Maryville and for colleges in St. Joseph, Trenton, and Atchison, administrators are getting comfortable with the next generation of students.

At Northwest Missouri State, dean of enrollment management Bev Schenkel recently gave a presentation to faculty and staff, telling them legal and social changes the last several years have shaped this incoming class of college freshmen.

A record number of freshmen, more than 1,500, are starting classes today at Northwest in Maryville.
