KCPL Helps Out

Around 3,100 KCP&L customers are still without power due to Thursday nights strong storms.

In Maryville, 2,000 residents are without power with no expected timeline for the return of that power. KCP&L is helping those customers in Maryville and St. Joseph starting this afternoon. Spokesperson for KCP&L Kelly Hinds says the company will offer aid to those still without electricity.

Hinds adds the distribution will begin in St. Joseph at 3:30 and in Maryville around 4:30. The dry ice will be handed out until supplies run out.
