Homicide Arrest

St. Joseph Police make an arrest in last week's home invasion and homicide.

Early yesterday morning officers along with the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department's special response team served a warrant in the 1600 Block of South 11. It was part of the investigation where last Monday Brian Ulmer was shot and killed at an address on North 16th Street in St. Joseph. This morning two people were arrested, one adult and one juvenile male. Their names aren't being released as no charges have yet been filed. Police say information developed this past weekend led them to the suspects, along with citizens tips. They say investigators continue actively looking for additional suspects and witnesses tied to the Ulmer murder. If you have any information you are asked to call the St. Joseph Police Department or the tips hotline, that number is 238-tips.
