Our region's home delivered meal programs are getting more money from the state.

Missouri's governor has released $471,000 to the state's 10 area agencies on aging. Becky Flaherty is the executive director for the northwest Missouri office that provides services to 18 counties. She says those counties will be sharing about $23,000 of the money for home-delivered meals, which she says has two big advantages.

The release of money is because of an increase in state revenues.
