Drug Sentence

A husband and wife are sentenced to prison for their marijuana growing operation in Skidmore.

James and Daina Sharp each plead guilty to 3 felony counts, including producing a controlled substance and distribution and delivery. Both were also charged with keeping or maintaining a public nuisance stemming from using their house on 280th Street near Skidmore to manufacture the illegal drugs. The Sharps each face 12 years in the Department of Corrections. They have been given the rest of this week to get their affairs in order then report to the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office where they will be taken to state facilities.
