Drug Fight Money

Nearly half a million dollars are coming into north Missouri law agencies to fight drugs in our communities.

The Buchanan county drug strike force is getting more than four hundred four thousand dollars. The Nitro Task Force, a collaboration based in Grundy county but operating throughout northwest Missouri, will receive nearly $72,000. The federal grants come through the Missouri Department of Public Safety. Buchanan county drug strike force investigator and grants coordinator Jeff Fisher says the money will help with 100% staffing of 10 full time investigators which he says is needed.
