City of Albany

Albany's safe routes to school program was passed unanimously at the board of Alderman meeting.

The board discussed several different topics during the meeting, including the 2011 tax levy which passed unanimously and the annual appointments made by the mayor. City manager Derek Brown says the city was awarded a grant by the Missouri Department of Transportation for sidewalk infrastructure around the schools.

Brown adds the board also discussed the upcoming city wide clean up and garage sale.
