Zweifel Tours Levees

Missouri treasurer Clint Zweifel toured the St. Joseph flooding situation yesterday.

He saw firsthand a levee district and the high water impacting the region. Treasurer Zweifel says it's important state officials start thinking about the long-term effects of the floods even after the waters have receded.

Zweifel points to the Missouri Link Deposit Loan program, which drops the interest on loans to businesses and farms by 2 to 3%, and has sent 4 million dollars to Nodaway county and 8 million to Buchanan county business owners over the past several years.
