2 north Missouri communities gain nearly half a million dollars in grants for the "Safe Routes to Schools" program.
Carrollton is getting more than $215,000 through the program for sidewalk construction, ADA improvements, and pedestrian signals. Albany will receive a little more than $249,000 for sidewalk and ADA improvements there. The grants are coming through the Missouri Department of Transportation and is designed to encourage bicycling and walking in a community, as well as help with infrastructure planning.
