July 26, 2011HOLT COUNTY, MO | By: Wayman
With 200,000 acres under water in Holt and Atchison counties alone, the USDA is reminding farmers there is help available.
A variety of loans and grants are being offered for the losses, both for livestock and for grain producers. This includes the supplemental revenue assistance program, the non-insured crop disaster assistance program, and federal crop insurance. You can call your local USDA office for more details on the various plans.
