Nixon Emergency Request

Missouri's governor has put in another request to the White House, this time for a major disaster declaration.

Recent requests have gotten some federal aid open to residents of flooding in north Missouri and tornados in the south. Now, governor Nixon has formally requested the designation of "Major" disaster. The governor says this will provide even more assistance to families and public agencies dealing with the natural disasters. In his request, Nixon named Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Carroll, Holt, Linn, and Sullivan counties in our area be included. The state of Missouri have been under a state of emergency by the governor's office since April 22nd because of the disasters to hit the show-me-state.
