July 29, 2011MARYVILLE, MO | By: Wayman
A unique fashion show is set for this weekend in Maryville.
It's at the Nodaway County Historical Society Museum and features vintage clothing from eras gone by. Included will be a 1940's Pickering ponies cheerleader costume, a purple dress and matching hat dating back to 1912, and a flapper dress from the 1920's, among several other artifacts. The fashion show and tell will be accompanied by a program from the curator of collections of the St. Joseph Museums, who will tell the audience how to care for your own garments. Also on display is a collection of wedding dresses dating back to 1875. It's at the Historical Society Museum in Maryville, that's at Walnut and First Streets. It starts at 2 this Sunday afternoon.
