July 18, 2011DeKALB COUNTY, MO | By: Wayman
A long-tern bridge closure on Highway 36 in DeKalb county postponed earlier starts this week.
The eastbound Castile Creek Bridge is shutting down today and expected to remained closed for the next 6 to 8 weeks. That's located east of Stewartsville. A cross-over bridge has been constructed and eastbound traffic will be head to head on the westbound lanes of Highway 36 around the bridge. Crews are replacing a bridge deck on the structure, one of 155 bridges on the list for improvements in northwest Missouri through the state's "Safe and Sound" bridge program.
