Blunt on Floods

Congressional leaders from the Midwest states will come together today for the first "Missouri River Working Group" meeting.

The group was designed to bring attention to the rising questions about how the US Army Corp of Engineers had handled the releases at Gavins Point Dam. Missouri senator Roy Blunt spoke yesterday about what he hoped to accomplish during the meeting.

Blunt adds a logical place to look for money to assist with levee restoration as the summer and spring go on is money that is already allocated to the river.
