Two north Missouri cities get half a million dollars apiece to upgrade their water systems.
Maysville's grant from the Missouri Department of Economic Development will help replace nearly 20,000 linear feet of cast iron pipes in the communities' water infrastructure. Money will also help Maysville build a new 100,000 gallon storage tank. In Caldwell county the Town of Breckenridge will also receive half a million dollars to build a new 100,000 gallon storage tank and replace water mains. The work will also switch from supplying water to a Daviess County Water District to purchasing water through Livingston County District four.
