Puppet Show

Maryville area residents can attend a free puppet performance tonight, thanks to the work of a special class at the university.

The unique course is teaching 12 students puppetry, theater performance, and problem solving. The students were challenged to make the puppets as well as find ways to perform. tonight a special performance will showcase the art, with several short puppet shows based on a variety of historic traditions. The plays are family-friendly, then after the intermission plays containing more mature themes will be performed. The event starts at 7 O'clock in the studio theatre at the Houston Center for the Performing Arts on the Northwest Campus in Maryville.
