McCaskill on Floods

Missouri senator Claire McCaskill says after this year's flood season, she will be looking closely at the way the Army Corps of Engineers is managing the flow of water in the Missouri River.

McCaskill says every year questions are asked about the Corp's decision. But she says overall, she thinks the agency has done things right this year.

A spokesman for the Corp says five of the six upstream reservoirs could no longer hold more water, pushing the need for release. He says the agency held back releasing some water as long as it could to relieve some of the earlier flooding in southern Missouri.
