Kids and Flooding

Flooding is causing high anxiety in our Midwest corners area.

But for kids, the crisis can be even more worrisome. Dr. Ken Haller is a Missouri pediatrician that says even if you try to downplay the dangers of natural disasters, kids still hear through Facebook of from friends. He says older kids can adjust and keep perspective, but younger ones may have problems.

Haller suggests using natural disasters as a teaching moment asking kids about their ideas for helping neighbors and friends to turn the event into something more positive.
