Heavier Loads

Missouri Department of Transportation will allow heavier loads of sand and gravel on selected Missouri highways.

Due to the flood preparations, private and for hire motor carriers, may carry up to 10% more than their licensed weight allows. Overweight permits will not be required however all other traffic and motor carrier regulations are still in place. This waiver is in effect until Thursday, June 30. Motor carriers can transport only in the state of Missouri. When crossing a bridge slow to 30 miles per hour and yield to oncoming traffic. No over weight trucks are allowed on Missouri interstate highways or national defense highway routes.
