Green Hills Changes

There's a new acting director at the Green Hills Community Action Agency in Trenton, and it's closing down its remote offices as well.

Director Scott Long resigned after the board got notification the Missouri Attorney General's office is looking into Green Hills' budget. Deputy director Sandi Williams has been named acting director. The Community Action Agency is also closing offices in surrounding counties after the state says it should be ready for its funding to be cut in half starting October 1st. Green Hills says residents needing assistance provided through the agency can still get it by calling their local office number and get information. The remote offices are set to be closed by July 22nd but the local numbers will still be operating. Green Hills says it will continue providing service to residents of Caldwell, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam, and Sullivan counties regardless of the office closures in locations outside of Trenton.
