Missouri's senate delegation is co-sponsoring a plan for tax relief for victims of weather disasters in the state.
But it does not include northwest Missouri flooding. Both senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill are helping to co-sponsor a bill in the US Senate to help rebuild from Missouri flooding and tornado damages but it just applies to destruction before June 7th which includes the southern Missouri flooding because of an intentional levee explosion in Illinois, and the Joplin tornado. But senator Blunt's office says he will be pushing for measures to ensure flood victims after the June 7th date will get the assistance they need to recover and rebuild.
