Elwood Evacuations

Residents of Elwood Kansas are now under a voluntary evacuation order.

It was issued by the city late yesterday afternoon as the Missouri River hit 28.7 feet. Elwood mayor George Mitchell says there's been disagreement between the Missouri River level at Elwood between the National Weather Service and the US Army Corps of Engineers so residents just need to be ready.
