Atchison Update

More rain causes flooding to continue in Atchison county.

County officials are monitoring after several levees were overtopped by the rising water from Highway 136 all the way north to Watson Missouri over the weekend. Atchison County Deputy emergency manager Mark Manchester says no significant levee breaches were reported however there is substantial amount of levee erosion beginning. He says there is no way to know what comes next.
