Area Road Work

The next few days are going to be busy ones for MoDOT road crews around northwest Missouri and for drivers.

There is even a temporary complete shutdown of Interstate 29 near Rock Port tomorrow morning. In Nodaway county today crews will be on Highway 136 about a mile west of the Atchison county line. They are working on the shoulders there and flaggers will be directing traffic around the work zone until this evening. Over in Atchison county, all lanes of Interstate 29 are being closed tomorrow morning at 9 O'clock. Atchison/Holt Electric Cooperative will be replacing a power line, and both north and southbound lanes of I-29 will be closed starting at 9 tomorrow morning between the two Rock Port exits. That's Exit 110 and 107. Also in Atchison county southbound I-29 north of Rock Port will be down to one lane today and tomorrow. That's between mile markers 115 and 111. And in Gentry county a portion of Route UU is closing today and will remain closed through next Wednesday, June 8th. The stretch of UU impacted is between BB and Route M, which is south of Stanberry.
